Bertolotti's Syndrome

by slerdms, Nov 06, 2009 09:52AM
Hello,

My 13 y/o daughter was just diagnosed with partial sacralization of L-5 at the right aspect. She has been having intermittent low back pain for several years now, but most recently it has become almost debilitating. We have been put on NSAIDS and Tramadol to control the pain so she can go to school. This pain occurs no matter what she is doing; sitting, standing, walking, riding in the car, sleeping...... nothing helps. Are there effective surgical treaments? Where can I find the BEST pediatric spine surgeon if so?
