Burning Sensation in My Neck, Shoulders

I'm 32, Female, I have been having a burning feeling in my neck and shoulder area for about 5 months now mostly to the left side always. The burning sensation comes on about mid day, and last until I go to sleep. Nothing seems to re leave it.I also have a tingly feeling in my left hand. When I sleep at night, my arms easily fall asleep. Currently been experiencing mid back pain that seems to wrap around my left and right side of ribs. This has been for 3 weeks now. I'm miserable. I take Ibuprofen it helps the back pain but never my neck and shoulders. My mother has a disk degeneration disease on set from when she was in her 30's. I'm going to the doctors tomorrow, they have a don't ask don't get policy when it comes to test. Is their something I should specifically ask for?

I had the same thing happen to me in the last year. I suggest having a EMG om your neck and your back. Also ask for a mylogram it shows more than a MRI.
