C5/6 disc extrusion with midline ventral spinal cord compression

C5/6 disc extrusion with midline ventral spinal cord compression

I was struck by a car about 4 weeks ago while crossing the street, and about 5 months ago I was a passenger in a car that was hit from behind. ( 2 cars hit from both directions from behind) My doctor just called me about the MRI results that I had yesterday. He said that my lumber spine and brain seems fine but there are some tiny white spots in the brain that is not big enough to be a tumor but could be caused by headache, high blood pressure etc. The problem is my cervical spine. The following is the result for the cervical spine MRI.

Findings: There is normal cervical spine alignment without evidence of spondylolisthesis, although there is persistent loss of the expected cervical lordosis. The vertebral body heights are maintained without evidence of abnormal signal intensity or acute fracture. There is no abnormal stir signal in the anterior or posterior longitudinal ligaments to suggest ligamentous injury.

There is multiple level disc desiccation at C2/3, C3/4, C4/5, and C5/6. At, C5/6, there is a central disc extrusion with mild midline ventral spinal cord compression. No neuroforaminal narrowing is seen at this level. At the remaining levels, there is no disc herniation or spinal stenosis.

The spinal cord is normal in size and signal intensity throughout. There is no evidence of intradural, epidural or paraspinal soft tissue mass.

Impression: C5/6 disc extrusion with midline ventral spinal cord compression without abnormal spinal cord signal abnormality. No evidence of ligamentous injury.

The above is the result, and I am planning to consult with more doctors since all the doctors I have seen advised all different treatment options. From massage therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractor to surgery.

My symptoms seem to be getting worse everyday. It started from tingling on my back, migraine, stiffness on my neck and shoulder, dizziness. ( 3 months after the 1st car accident) So I started getting physical therapy which was not helping at all and just getting worse. Then I had my 2nd car accident, and was in the Trauma room after the accident.
The symptoms are tingling, shooting pain, sharp and deep pain, swelling, soreness, numbness ( left arm, wrist, fingers, and leg), heaviness on the arm, difficulty walking, spasm, stabbing pain near hip area, unusual sensations, problem with memory and concentration, weakness, confusion, sleeping problems, headache, blurry vision and ringing in the ear. Now I have pain with bowl movement too.

My doctor said the symptoms are due to trauma but is there any treatments for this? I would like to know what is going on with my body since every expert has different opinions and I just want to get better and have no pain.

Would you please give me some advice?

Thank you for taking your time to read my article.
