Could it be that the leg weakness is a result of nerve irritation, compression, or damage? Or could there other causes of the leg weakness? I don't have pain going down my legs, just shakiness and weakness. The weakness is tolerable in the morning but by mid-afternoon I can barely stand, let alone walk. Using crutches helps me get around, but I'm getting to the point where I really need a wheelchair.
My spine doctor is somewhat puzzled by the degree of weakness I'm feeling. I have a nerve study scheduled next week so I might know a little more after that.
What is the best way to get the nerve damage to heal if that is what is causing the weakness?
