Death from a broken neck?

My friend hit a deer on Friday night. It didn't really hurt her.  It merely jerked her neck.  She thought she had whiplash.  The doctor gave her injections in her neck to help with the pain.  The pain did not subside. She was told they couldn't do anything else at this point.  She went to work normally on Monday and Tuesday.....she was in so much pain Tuesday that her mom had to pick her up from work and drive her home.  Her mother asked her to go to the ER, but she said she just wanted to lay down.  Her mother went in to check on her Wednesday morning and found her dead.  Did she have a break in the c-spine and didn't know it?  Explain this to me please?! She wasn't on drugs or anything like that etc... They haven't got the autopsy results back yet. Thanks

That is so horrible to hear. I am so sorry to hear that. I do not have any answers either but I am sure they will find out what was the cause. Take care and like I said I am very sorry for your loss.
