Diagnosis over the phone
Has anyone heard of being diagnosed for a back brace over the phone or online? My father received a call about his need for back brace / DME? Is it really now possible to diagnosed and prescribe this over the phone or online? Maybe this call was a hoax? We are expecting another call next week and I am trying to find out as much as I can about this. Any input would help. Thanks.
Honestly, I don't think I'm comfortable with it. I haven't tried it though and I'm not quite sure if I would go for it since doctor's consultation should always involve a physical examination.

I have had multiple cold calls for the same type of thing pushing back braces. The one time I did respond I left it with them going to my Pain Management doctor for a prescription but I never heard back.
