Disc cause of dizziness?

Disc cause of dizziness?

Several years ago had cervical fusion at C5-C6.  Had pain back July in right shoulder and referred down into arm to the elbow area.  MRI showed 2 more disc bulging but not too severe and another osteophyte.  The problem areas are C4-C5 and C7. The neurosurgeon said lets try a medicine that helps pain in diabetics and I was saved another surgery then.  This was Oct 2007.
Beginning around the last Sat of October this year I went in a store and the fumes from decorative area were so strong but didn't think much more about it even though strong chemicals, fumes, etc bring on dizziness.  ENT & doctors say its a sensitive inner ear that has a reaction to these things.  Anyway, I woke up that next morning with pretty bad dizziness.   After about a week I went to my regular ENT, got a steroid shot, told to continue meclazine but nothing helped.  The doctor I work for on 10/27 gave me mobic for the left side, at base of skull, a Rx for Mobic, another injection and told to still take the meclazine.   Saw the ENT again on Nov 19th same treatments as before but did say fax my latest head & cervical MRI to my neurosurgeon.  Also was told to take Valium 2 mg BID but can't it wipes me out for working. The only pain is the one at base of left side of skull into the neck area that is constant.
The lightheaded feeling is more on movement of head, turning too fast, rooms don't spend its just that sensation of being off or a floating feeling is best I can describe it.  Can drive and do my work no problems being focused on one thing straight in front of me.  I have faxed the report to neuro doc but no response as yet but I am just trying to get some ideas on this.  It was just hitting me then leaving but now its progressed to almost daily feeling.
head MRI was normal and of course the cervical one showed the same disc problems.
Any ideas?

I have herniated discs @ C-6 & C-7 with nerve impingement, a straightening of the c-spine as welll as DJD. I get the dizziness and pain at the base of my skull too and occasionally jaw pain.

I have learned that when my neck is starting to swell or spasm my ears begin to ring and thats my cue to take an anti inflammatory or a muscle relaxer. It all depends weather I am working or at home as to which one I take.

Just wanted to give my opinion that I do think it is related to Cervical issues,

Good Luck.
