Dizziness while sitting

Hello,
3 months back I was feeling slight pain in the lower back of my head (left side). The neurologist whom I visited suggested MRI of cervical spine. Following is the MRI findings
"MRI findings reveal annular tear with postero central disc herniation at C5-C6 level causing narrowing of bilateral neural foramina with compression on existing nerve roots. Signal characteristics of spinal cord appear normal."
I also did brain MRI which was normal
He also did Motor NCS, Sensory NCS and Needle EMG results of which are
"Motor conduction study shows normal distal latencies, cMAPs and conduction velocities. F-wave latencies are normal. Median and ulnar sensory potentials are normal. Needle EMG examination shows normal motor unit potentials with complete interference pattern in the sampled muscles. No denervation potentials are seen"

My doctor only suggested a few exercises which I have been following since.
However since last week I am having a feeling of dizziness specifically when I am sitting down. I dont have any other complication except some heaviness in the neck which goes away on exercising. I have made an appointment with my neorologist but I have got it for May 14.

1. Is this dizziness most likely because of my disk herniation?
2. Since my appointment is long way off, can you please recommend what I should do in the meantime, since this is causing lot of discomfort and also a ton of anxiety.

Please help.
Thanks

Hi,sorry to know your suffering.

I think your dizziness due to soft tissure injury in the lower back of your head (left side). There are have 3 nerves though which control your balance feeling.Because local inflammation stimulate this nerves,so your symptom happen.....( soft tissue injury lead to inflammation in neck area)

Do gentle massage in lower back of your head(left side) first...then more and more deeper ,good pillow, then you can relive it,but ,for perment healing, you need do kind of treatment more....

Good luck!
