FACET SYNDROME

I have been dealing with severe pain going in right butuck, thigh, calf to top of foot nor they tell me facet syndrome possible and want me to do a mylogram and a different type of bone scan i think they said a spec bone scan, anyway is there anyone else that has went through this and what was the treatment to fix it? I also beleive i may have the sam problem in my neck.

Medicines can help relieve pain, and reduce inflammation and muscle spasms.
But,my opinion is that I don't agree to name of diagnosis,as treatment of facet syndrome is exactly same as soft tissue injury around facet joint,so any treatment works for soft tissue injury,it also works for this problem.Take care!

I have tried chiropractor several times, accupuncture, inflam meds, pain meds, exercises and nothing is cutting it, I have have chronic pain for a year now any other suggestions?

For  facet syndrome ,general acupuncture doesn't work very well,there are have special acupuncture therapy knowed as deep and intensive acupuncture,which is medical acupuncture and very popular therapy in China.
But,this acupuncture works for you? it's dependent on where the inflammation is acupuncture can help with facet joint pain.  Acupuncture works well when the inflammation is outside of the spinal column.  Acupuncture does not work when the inflammation is in the spinal column itself. so you should make sure that you have nothing wrong in spine.

Well I got my mylogram and bone scan today but i cant read it so i have to wait till Wed when i go back to orthopedic, there is something marked on a few of them but there are no results with them.

Try and find a Dr that will  do Facet joint injections.It may take a few try's, but if the right joint is found, relief is felt right away.

I just returned from the Laser Spine Intitute in Tampa Bay Fl. They do arthoscopic laser spine surgery. In addition to freeing up my nerves from stenosis on the lower right lumber level 4and5, they did a Facet Thermal Ablation. In plain words they went into the facet joint on both sides a "killed" the nerve and eliminating the pain. Its genuine and it works. I can now sleep pain free. I can't say enough about it. If you have had an MRI and send them the radiology report they will do a free evaluation and let you know if they can help you. It's expensive but being pain free is worth it..............Good Luck........Pete
