Fractured Spine, Processes, What to do?

Fractured Spine, Processes, What to do?

I fell 10 days ago and fractured 2 processes, both on the right side.. L3 & L4 (also subsequently found a bulging disk at L5) Fun times.

Was seen in the ER, told to take it easy, no bending, no stooping, no lifting over 5lbs.

Went back to the ER 4 days later with pain going down my right leg; they told me it was sciatica and the same rules applied.

I saw my PHCP, who might I add, is a joke. She's not even a real doctor. All she did was poke and prod around my back and tell me to try to bend and touch my toes and squat. I informed her that I was not supposed to be doing those things!! She told me to come back in a week after she did some research on what to tell me to do. Sigh.

Anyway. Today, I am in excruciating pain. I mean it literally hurts SO bad, even after doing my best to stay on the couch for the past 10 days. It shoots down and on top of my right thigh, and i've had some stomach pain on the same side as well. I've read everything possible online. The pain might have something to do with having to lift my 30lb daughter and carry her up and down the stairs. My husband is at work and there's no one here to help me.

Should I go back to the ER? I just don't want to take up their time and have them tell me there is nothing they can do. Is excruciating pain a valid excuse to go to the ER? Is there ANYTHING that can be done about my messed up back? I prefer to be treated at the ER anyway, honestly, because I don't trust my regular doctor with my care.

Any advice? HELLP!

Welcome to the site and the community. Although I am not able to help you with your specific question, please give it time. There will be
someone who cares and someone who can give you great advice. If you do not get a reply within two days, please repost your question/concern.
I know personally that this is a great place and it's all about people helping people, but because of every day life, sometimes with so many posts,
it is possible you might need to repost. If this is something that needs attention now, you can call for an appointment with your doctor, if it is not
an emergency go to urgent care (to save money) but if it is an emergency, please go to the ER. If this is something you are having anxiety over,
I have some basic but strong tips/techniques to use until you get help, please just message me and I will send them to you. Thank you and I
hope you are helped soon.
