How dangerous is a cervical disk surgery???

How dangerous is a cervical disk surgery???
Because a stenosis , need a surgery for the C4 -C5 -C6 MAYBE C7 cervical vertebrae

Please advice.

its a very common surgery.. do a little research on your nero sergeon and the hospital and ask any questions you have.. a good dr wants you to ask. make a list if needed. thanks to the internet we have lots of info at our finger tips. this helped me alot. i had surgery jan 15, and i feel so much better. i had lots of tingling pins and needles shoting down my right arm all the time, it was gone when i woke up, such a relief. i had three fusions, and bone spurs cleaned out..i was out of the hospital the next day.. recovery wasnt that bad just remember to rest.. i had a hard time with rest, i felt good and did my normal actives and by the evening i would be in pain. but you need to remember that the recovery time is 4-6 months. hope this helps.. ask more if you wish.. good luck, and be pain free!!! diane
