I am glad you are getting help.
I was thinking back and i was given Provigil when I first was sick to help with the fatigue. Once I got the meds right, I do longer needed the provigil. Also I used a CPAP in the beginning. That may help with the sleep quality.
Anytime you have any questions feel free to reach out.
The docs have me on pain meds, patch, cymbalta, suldinac, nausea meds, modifinil to keeo me awake from sleepimg with sleep apnea, and B-12. I will pick up today D3, Magnesium, and Raspberry Keytones
today. My daughter could also use to help with her sleeo apnea. Again that you so much ! I talked to Doc last night about Myofascial pain syndrome boy it really sounds like I have that. He said they would check with muscle biopsy.
There is hope. Although your life will not be what it was before, you can get to a good space.
Meds are trial and error. I have been on tons of different meds until I found what worked for me. Do not be afraid to talk to your doc and tell him/her how the meds are and aren't working for you. We are all different and react to meds differently.
Sleep is the biggie for me. I take a sleep med most nights. It is important to get the best sleep you can.
Pain control-not always narcotics. I have had great success with neuroleptics, but cannot take Fibro meds. Meds like neurontin, topamax, and trileptal are used off label for fibro. Plus many people have great success with Savella, and Cymbalta.
I am including my meds as an example for you
Daypro- NSAID 1200 mg 2x day
Tramadol 50 mg 1-2 as needed moderate pain
Lortab 10/325 as needed severe pain
Zanaflex-CNS muscle relaxer 1-12 mg at night as needed
Elevil 25mg-trycilic antidepressant helps with sleep
Ambien 10 mg as needed for sleep
Malic acid-help with muscle pain and recovery
B12-energy also for anemia
D3-my levels are low due to limited sun exposure
Magnesium-helps pain I have no clue why
Raspberry Keytones- really helps with energy
Lactobacillus Gastrii(Phillips colon health)-completely stops all IBS symptoms
Trigger point injections as needed for the knots
Massage when I can
Yoga-2 20 minute sessions at home daily(started with childrens Yoga)
You have to learn how to do things differently. My dd was 2 when I got sick. I had to figure out ways to do things with her when I was really bad. like Coloring. Hand puppets on the wall, story time. barbies in the bed. Homemade paydough, collages etc. You can do the "mom" things you just have to be very creative at times.
Once you find the things that help you, you will be able to gain some life back. I went from being approved for ssdi, to working full time, and soing most of what I used to do.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or just need a shoulder.
I am not an "expert" just someone who has been fighting this battle for 12 years.
