In search of a good pillow

In search of a good pillow

I have a chronic neck problem so sleeping has been difficult.  I'm sure that a lot has to do with the pillow I'm using - it stinks!  I've tried using a firm/extra firm pillow, I've tried a down pillow, and I've tried a contoured generic memory foam type pillow.... nothing seems to help.
Any suggestions???  I saw a website (can't remember what it was) with this interesting pillow that looked like it would be pretty supportive as you sleep.
Help!!!  I need to get a decent night's sleep!!

I too have chronic neck pain and can really sleep in only one position - on my right side, with a body pillow between my legs (also have lumbar problems), on 2.5 pillows.  It's what you find most comfortable.  I've tried chiropractic neck pillows for when I try to sleep on my back but the pressure of pillow and because I have no curve in my cervical spine it makes my hands go numb. It's all a matter or trial and error.  One thing I will say though - I purchased a sleep number bed in 2006 and could not be happier with it - the fact that I can adjust the pressure as often as I like has greatly benefitted my spine.
