Internal "vibrations" once mistaken for a-fib. Almost certain now it's spinal

Hello,

For almost a year, I've had an on and off problem where I would wake up with a pulsing "tremor-like" feeling that seemed to be most powerful within my chest. I initially mistook this for atrial fibrillation, and even went through the trouble of wearing a heart monitor for a whole month. I was flabbergasted when ALL of my tests came back perfectly fine, because more than once during the duration of the test, I had woken up from these tremors. I was certain that this feeling which I was attributing to afib would show up on the report. The thing is, I could also feel my heartbeat along with the tremors being like a secondary beat of its own.. which was confusing to me. But now I understand it's not my heart at all.

This literally drove me to NO END for the latter part of last year, and in the past month or so it's been happening almost every night. I have felt so helpless about this problem... It's caused me chronic insomnia, among other problems.

Last night, I had woken up at some random time. No vibrations, I just had to pee. When I went to lay back down, I forcefully stretched my left arm back to place it behind my head, and *instantly* the vibrations started. This clued me in to it being something related to my spine. I had the idea to stand up on my tip-toes and "drop" onto the heels of my feet forcefully. The idea was to compress my back or something along those lines.. well, it worked. The vibrations stopped just as fast as they started. I am happy that I have this "fix" for the problem, but clearly something needs to be addressed.

In my search to find answers on the internet, I have come across so many posts of people who have given up, had hit dead ends, etc. etc.. but none of them attributed it to spinal issues.

I am just writing this to inform people who might be experiencing the same thing. My next step is to visit a chiropractor to see if the problem can be alleviated for good.
