Left side of back and left side chest hurting?

Hello my name is Jamie, I need some help please. My mother has had severe pain in her upper shoulder blade left side and a big knot and she is hurting in here chest left side. She has had a MRI and a cat scan and no pinched nerve or spinal damage. They think it is her heart but they are ignoring the knot in her back. She gets up of the mornign and it hurts so bad she thinks she is going to die.She is in the hospital right now. So I am asking please help me. She is 69 yrs. old. She has been under extreme stress from my older brother who has no conshience or morals. I just want here to get better she has had shots in her back and they do relieve the pain but it's just covering up the problem.Please excuse the typing I am so tore up it's hard for me to type.
