Level 2 fusion Day three post op

Today is day three post op from level 2 neck fusion. I feel pretty good. Not sleeping well though.
Questions: How long does the neck brace have to stay on? Really?
How long till anyone has done any chores, i.e. laundry

it does not have to stay on at all...according to my neuro, it is for protection only....I only wore mine in the car

I should mention that I have no hardware! Fusion was done with that matrix bone "stuff"

The Neck brace is strangling me. Neck feels pretty good though. Throat not so good. Did you feel like you had a "lump" in yr throat all the time?

With no internal bracing (fusion w/instrumentation) id be pretty leery to be without at least an external brace!! Glad ur doing so well soon soon after a two level neck surgery.

I have been wearing the neck brace, I take it off to eat and once in a while to give my throat a break. The neck pain is moderate, I have been really resting.
Speaking of the throat, I am dying. It has gone from great to worse. I cant even swallow water as of today. I feel like something is stuck in it. Im going to see the doc today, cause this cant be.
