Lower Back Pain ?

I have always experienced back pain ever since I was little, I remember not being able to stand at church for the whole mass or else my back would hurt. But one thing that I am worried about is when I have to go to the bathroom. If It takes me more than a short time to get to the bathroom, I start getting severe back pains. Sometimes, if I wait too long, they get so bad that I can barely walk. I have talked to my parents about it, but I was always a child who complained constantly and made up things, so I think they don't really believe me. I just want to make sure that it isn't something I should be worried about. Should I get it checked out?
Thanks

You could have a multitude of things wrong.
First, Cauda Equina Syndrome which means horse tail. Because it consists of a bundle of nerves that extend from the lower back down the back of your legs. Bowel movements can become extremely painful. This is a very serious condition!

You could also have IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome. This can cause your symptoms as well. You usually have other intestinal issues with this disorder. There is another disorder with the rectum, that has something to do with a sac of some nature. I have read little on this, not real common.

You could have bulging discs in you lower back. Believe me, if you hesitate bowel movements, the smallest amount of pressure there will cause pain.
In others words, I am not a doctor. You should really have it checked.

As far as the making things up: Parents don't always see why this is happening. It is a cry for some sort of attention. Maybe you made up things to express that something was bothering you, emotional or physical.

My parents didn't listen to me either. I got my butt spanked for walking funny and tearing up my shoes. I had scoliosis and couldn't help it. I had to wait until I was an adult to find out and get help. If it WAS TAKEN care of earlier, I would be better off today.
Get yourself checked. You have that right.
