Lower back pain.....tail bone

For a couple of years I have been experiancing lower back pain that seems to get worse by the day......at first I would experiance this pain sometimes and the pain would seem to shoot down one or two of my legs at times....now it does shoot down my legs but the pain is every day......I really have a hard time getting out of bed....this has not stopped me from working or exercising.....I feel in order to stay active I must be active...reguardless of the pain.  Not one day passes that I don't take pain medicane.....4 ibuprofren at one setting because 2 does not work.  I have no insurance therefore I dont see a doctor regulary...I am saving for a doctor appt. but until then i would like some input.  This is what kind of scares me:  At the top of the buttocks where everyone has that little dip or indentation....well mine is not really there any more....it is kind of flat...and just right of it the upper buttocks lower back there is a lump.....and if someone massages and puts alot of pressure there I experiance relief.....also these symptons seem to be worse around my menstrual cyce......I hope someone can relate...and give me some insight I am so confused and not knowing.....makes me really afraid??????????

As the members of this forum are not medical doctors, it is not possible to provide any definitive diagnoses regarding your symptoms.  Only a medical evaluation would be able to assess your pain and any probable causes,  The "lump" could be a fatty tissue lesion  known as a lipoma, but only visual and tactile exam would be able to assess this.
It is unfortunate that you do not have medical insurance as the only advice we can provide is a medical evaluation.  Since these symptoms have been present for a couple of years, they are probably not life-threatening or an indication of any significant health problems.
Be careful regarding the use of ibuprofen and do not exceed the recommended dosage as it can cause kidney and liver problems.
Post with an update and hopefully you can see a doctor in the near future,
Best wishes ----
