Hi Luke,

Wow!  You really are very young to be facing a fusion at 23 years of age!  Did you have trauma induced problems with your back?  What is your diagnosis?  Have you had an MRI or other procedures done?  I have been researching fusions and alternatives to fusions for about a year now.  I would like to know more about your reasons for your ortho thinking you are a candidate for a fusion surgery.
