Lymph nodes in neck

Two weeks ago, I sidestepped and hooked the corner of my tv.  The tv fell and I fell on top of it and the top corner of the tv jabbed into my heck very hard.  I had bad bruising and swelling right away.  On that side of the neck, I have one or two smaller lumps on the neck lymph gland and one large swelling on the lymph on my neck just above the collarbone where the tv hit the hardest.  Is it possible that it was caused by the fall?  I didn't have any swelling before the fall.

Hi and sorry you had an accident. I wonder if you got a puncture wound? If your lymph nodes are swollen you may have an infection. Do you have a fever? Is the area painful and hot? Do you see any red streaks coming out of the area? Any scab or area where there may have been a cut into the skin or puncture mark? I think you may want to get the wound checked out to see if you have an infection. Can you turn your neck okay and back?

Hi.  Thank you for replying.  There was a puncture wound - it bled.  But it's not painful in any way and I don't have a fever.  Everything seems normal except for the swollen glands and still a little bit of bruising.

Well, it is possible that you got an initial reaction from the injury. The lymph nodes swell due to various reasons. Usually an infection, and they take quite a while to go down. Since you feel better hopefully they will go down and you shouldn't have any other problems.
