MRI Results: back pain, annular tears, nerve pain

underwent back surgery on my L2-3 to remove a herniated disk.  The pain in my leg from that disc resolved, however I started having pain in my lower back, buttocks, and outside of left leg down to foot.  Burning, shocks, pin pricks....just unbearable. I have had two injections at the L5-S1 level (facets and epidural). I have had two MRI's and both show these results:  Small Posterior disc extrusion & associated annular tear residing in the right paracentral location. Exends caudally to the level of the upper 1/3 of the S1 vertebral body. Small focal sequestered disc fragment residing posterior & left lateral to the right S1 nerve root. Appears slightly smaller in the interval. There is a mild bilateral foraminal narrowing. There is no significant cetnral canal stenosis. L2-3 bulging disc; L4-5 bulging disc.  
My nerve doctor tells me that I should have pain in the right leg and not the left leg. She states that the pain in my left leg is residual nerve inflammation from the L2-3 surgery and suggests a Pain Psychologist to help manage the pain and live with it. She has never done any nerve tests.  I can push on my area on the back by the L5-S1 disc and cause the pain down the leg. She states this is impossible to do.  (I did it with the L2-L3......).  I am at my wits end!  I can not live with the pain; and do not want to "manage" it.  I want it gone.....  

If anyone else has had similar and can give me some advice as to my next steps should be...
