My four year old is complaining about back pain

i have a four year son & for quite some time already he has been complaining that his back hurts him not specific as to where exactly it hurts because when we ask him where hes not sure.. i would just put it off because i have a grandmother who has had four back surgeries and complains that he "back hurts". i just figured he was mimicking her. as time has gone on i have noticed he asks to urinate frequently but he does drink alot of fluids throughout the day. i have noticed he has  a little trouble staying asleep throughout the night sometimes even complaining that hes uncomfortable. i was just wondering if anyone has had any similar problems and if i should have his pediatrician see him or if its just possible growing pains and im over reacting..

It can be difficult deciphering how children react to different thing and he could be making it up. But if hes complaining during the night, I'd wonder why he would make that part up? Maybe get a cheap memory foam topper for his bed, see if it has an impact on his movement. Try and cut down his fluid intake, just so you can eliminate any possible theories. Do get him to a paedatrician though, as they can give you in depth insight and reassurance

I think you should really be aware of it. Let his pediatrician know. I suffer from back problems and I would hate to see my son suffer from it too. I hope all goes well, may God bless your son always.
