Neck Pain behind the clavicle.

About two weeks ago I started experiencing pain on the lower left side of my neck, behind the collar bone.  The pain seems to radiate up my neck and also down my shoulder and arm.  I should say it is a dull, obnoxious ache, not really a sharp pain, but very stiff.
About a week ago I also noticed a swollen lymph node in the same area.  It is about the size of a pea and movable.
A few days ago I got a sore throat and a runny nose.
My question is can these be connected?  Is it possible I injured my neck (I was shoveling snow) and the resulting injury caused the swollen lymph node.  I don't have a fever or any other symptoms.
