New Back Pain 3 months after Spinal Fusion surgery

by kaslts, Nov 03, 2009 04:50PM
My 14 year old son has spinal fusion surgery. (T-3 to L2) Surgery went well, normal post-op pain, progressed well. He developed pain in a very specific location deep in his spine 3 months later. He lives on Lyrica, Tramedol, Skelaxin & Ibuprophen. CT scan, X-rays and blood work are normal. Docs are baffled. He did have a strep infection right before all this pain developed..that is the ONLY remarkable thing.Does anyone have ANY thoughts. My son did not have any pain prior to the surgery but had a 55 degree curve so he needed the surgery.  We need help.
