Numb spot on back

by rattyrandi, Nov 28, 2007 01:13AM
I have herniated c6 and c7, impinging on the nerves located there.  I have symptoms of pain, tingling, burning, and numbness on the outter back part of my shoulder, down my left arm and into my fingers.  I experience alot of severe muscle pain in my neck, left shoulder, left arm and even up into my head, jaw, teeth and face at times.  I take a pain killer and a muscle relaxer.  One thing that really concerns me is a numb spot on my left back, along my spine.  It starts just at the bottom of my left shoulder blade and goes down for about 4 - 6 inches.  It drives me crazy when it is touched - kind of a painful electric shocking sensation.  The doctors really haven't addressed it.  They say it is likely not caused from my injuries, but it never goes away.  I had a t-spine mri at the same time as my c-spine and shoulder, but if the doctor saw anything, he never told me.  He doesn't seemed bothered by it, but I sure am.  It is the largest area of numness I have.  Any thoughts on this?  Thanks in advance. -R-
