Numbness/Pain on right side

Recently I have been experiencing shooting pain and numbness on my right side.  My right foot even hurts.  The pain is not constant and the numbness comes and goes.  I do have 4 bulging discs in my neck and arthritis.  Thought maybe that could be the cause.  Maybe something pressing on a nerve.  What could this possibly be?

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I seem to get little relief from anti-inflammatories. The bulging discs and arthritis are in my neck and  heat therapy seems to help the most with this area but the numbness and pain I am experiencing in my right arm, leg and foot are not alleviated.

Thanks for taking the time to assess my symptoms...

Sincerely

I think you are correct in your assessment that this probably related to the herniated disks you have,  although it certainly could be degenerative due to the arthritis.  Numbness is generally a symptom of nerve irritation.  You don't mention if you are given any sort of relief by using anti-inflammatories for your pain.  Medications generally do not have an effect on nerve pain.  If this is traceable to a certain section of your spine, an epidural cortisone injection or traction may provide some relief.  Good luck. -R
