Persistent back pain

Hi, im a 20yr old female. I've been having back pain for almost 3yrs now. The back pain is mostly near the lower region.  The pain is mostly dull, like aches. It hurts when im sleeping and waking up as well as when im sitting although rarer when im sitting.

The pain may radiate down my thighs and calves, and now it seemed to hurt my feet too. When im sitting, my buttock hurts and it feels like im sitting on hard concrete.

Sometimes when i try to reduce the lower back pain by sleeping in different positions, the uppet back region, shoulders and chest somehow feels like it's stiffen up.

Just recently ive went to the doctor and he seemed to think that it was due to bad posture and gave me some mild painkillers. It seemed to help but only for the period of usage. What's worse is that right after i finished the painkillers, my whole body ached (chest, ribcage, shoulder, neck) they became sore to touch, and my left index finger started twitching involuntarily.

Please help as im worried that it may be something serious and i feel generally unwell, although it may be due to anxiety. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for replying.
The doctor told me to sit for a shorter period everytime and also to get a lumbar support.

The lumbar support did help with the pain occasionally but it doesnt help when im sleeping at night.

Im worried if the pain will affect my nerves if left for too long, as my other part of my body sometimes become sore even when i never to any strenous physical activity.

I'll try out the Egoscue method to see if it helps and feedback over here. Thanks a lot.

Did your doctor offer you advice on how to correct your posture? Obviously, painkillers aren't going to help the underlying posture issues. I suggest you look into the Egoscue Method. It has helped me tremendously with lower back pain and sciatica.
