Pinched Nerve

How do you relieve pain from a pinched nerve to back and lower buttock

I would def agree  Start with the anitiflams then physio .You have to up the gabapentin gradually and reduce it the same way , so unless it got really bad i would aviod them,and sugery.

Gabapentin is a drug originally prescribed for epileptic sufferers, it helps stop the brain reading signals from the nerves, so it can stop pain signals too. Antidepressants can also help and can be used in conjunction with gabapentin (or other epileptic drugs) Ask your doctor.
Physiotherapy can also help free trapped nerves depending on where and how thay are trapped and of course anti-inflamitaries (ibuprofen) if the pinch is due to inflamation at all. Totally agree with helpforsherry, surgery is the last option.

Try a round of steriods, then physical therapy and lastly surgery. I would also say that unless it's really interferring with your life don't do the surgery. They tend to cause more problems than they solve.
