Post op C6-C7 discectomy

Hi, I am 34 years of age and in march of the year i had a disc removed between c6-c7. I had neck, arm shoulder pain for years, progessively getting worse and worse so i decided to have the operation. The effects were instant after the disc was removed, muscle which had been in spasm for years were suddenly no more. After 6 weeks i was back to work and within three months back to playing golf. It was great. While i never got to 100% right, it was still good enought for me. However in the last six weeks (six months post op) i am in trouble again. I am attending a physio twice a week, i am back on mediation again and i am off work. I am disappointed to say the least. The pain is not as severe as it was but it is more extensive, going down both arm, up my neck into my head. I am now due for another MRI and back to my surgeon. Can anyone tell me whats happening. I dont think its another disc (fingerscrossed) and my GP thinks it could be scar tissue. Would this make sense, and if so what can you do to treat it. Many thanks for your suggestions
