Question about Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

Question about Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction

I was told I have this 'dysfunction' in my left hip. Had the pain for months before thinking it was just a sore hip or I moved wrong and sprained it.

I had the Sacroiliac Joint therapy performed today. I was told to follow up with my pain mgmnt. Doctor in 6 weeks.

Wondering if any one else has suffered from this horrible hip pain, and had the procedure done with the injection therapy of a cortizone shot and how long ( if any time ) did you get relief from this being done.

Thanks!

Hi there!

It would be difficult to comment on the situation without knowing the relevant clinical details/ details of the ‘dysfunction’. Associated inflammation or sacroilitis is usually chronic and may respond well to anti-inflammatory measures such as cortisone shots. It may take a few days/ weeks to notice relief. It would be best to discuss the prognosis in detail with your treating doctor.
Hope his helps.

Take care!
