Question about scoliosis exercise

It may be too late now as I am about to become 25 years old in September, but I know that there are certain stretching exercises meant to correct Scoliosis or, at least prevent it from becoming worse. I supposedly only have 4% curvature, so the docs. say that it's not really anything to worry about.

This is what my report says: There is minimal scoliosis of the upper thoracic spine with convexity to the left. The angle of scoliosis is about 4-degrees. There is no secondary lumbar scoliosis. The pedicles, vertebral body and disc spaces are normal.

So when I do stretching exercises, which way would be best for me to bend and lean in order for me to work my way towards a more normal position? Rght or left?

Hi there.  I went to rolfing & it really helped me.  I had severe scoliosis from being partially paralyzed.  Good for you that you're doing the work now, because it can get really bad.   Also, a very well trained pilates person can help you with this.  The practice focuses on imbalances.  I could write a book on this so if you have specific ? go ahead a email me.  Do you have a short leg & which one?  Do you have a shoulder or jaw that is a problem or do you have atrophy anywhere?  Kimpton

Thank you for your help Kimpton. I am actually pretty new to all this stuff, so when I get a good grip on the correct questions to ask you I will. Thanks.

hi there! i also have dextroscoliosis.. i only found about it when i was in high school 3rd year.. when i noticed my left right shoulder was higher than my left.. and my body began to ache... especially my back to my waist.... so when i found out about it i can no longer carry heavy things.. some said i should have a metal something placed at my back.. i'm 28 now already and i can sometimes feel the ache.. ehen i stand too long and sit too long... i have to stretch because my right shoulder back part is really aching... wheeww.. very hard..... i had my x-ray and gound out that my spine is like the letter L and that my shoulder are not normal or the atual normal size and height... so a bit hard... i can really feel the pain.. how about you... do you take medicines like that.. my degree if i'm not mistaken is 37 degrees and up... tnx and good day!
