Question about torn/stretched neck artery?

My mom was going to therapy for an issue she was having and the guy decided it would be a good idea to crack her neck. She said when he did it she heard like an echo-y sound in her ears and had a headache. Now she said her neck just hurts a little. I was looking stuff up online and it says about the dangers of having a torn artery and that it needs to be seen immediately. Should she be going to the ER? Should we be concerned?I need advice ASAP.... I'm so worried...

added note: from what I'm reading about a dissection (I guess that's what it's called) it can cause a blood clot and a stroke.
