Spinal Fusion

I am so happy to find this site.  My husband actual found MedHelp for me last year as I got Epstein Barr from not sleeping (that's where he came up with zzzgirl) because of my back pain.  We were desperate to find anyone who had it as I just wasn't getting better.   I still struggle with Epstein Barr or Chronic Fatigue my doctor said I still and always will test positive and since I still have symptoms some put it in the CFS category.  Anyway I have two herniated and two bulging discs in my lower lumbar and have been told I have digenerative disc disease.  I have never had an explantion what that means just know I have it.  I have battled this for 14 years.  Because of this I have problems walking, sitting, standing basically living.  The pain is so great it's unbearable.  I have done steroid injections, rhyzotomies, IDET, and have had fusion on my L5S1 disc already.  I felt great for about 6months after my pain level was a 2 life was great then I have slowly gone back to not being able to walk and some days I can't get out of bed.  It's hard to dress myself and am being told I need fusion again.  The problem is I have four discs in a row the lower one being the one they fused that are bad.  So since I had such a short time before the disc above my fusion got bad we are scared to death to do another surgery.  I have been told disc replacement isn't possible, does anyone have any suggestions.  I'm overwhelmed and am starting to struggle with anxiety and depression because of this constant battle.   Any help would be greatfully appreciated.  Thanks,  Sheri
