For years I have been able to pop my sternum as I pop many other joints in my body. It has never caused any discomfort. However, within the last few days, upon feeling the usual slight discomfort prompting me to pop it, I have been unable to adequately do so. Now, it feels as though every time I try to pop it, the pain gets worse. It feels as though it is stuck. Many basic movements are now moderately painful as well as deep breathing. In addition, I feel the need to pop it far more frequently than before, like every ten minutes. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
