Thoracic Spine

My husband was in a motorcycle accident a few months ago, and the doctors did an x-ray of his thoracic spine around T7-T9. The findings were as follows:
1. Abnormalities in the mid thoracic spine which be degenerative.
2. There is a loss of height of at least one of these vetebral bodies. conceivably a minimal compression may have iccurred. The findings are at approximately T7 to T9, plus or minus one or two levels. The adjacent endplates are irregular.

The doctor didn't explain what this ment. Could someone tell me what this means, please?

More than likely referring to age related changes as opposed to trauma, everyone develops a certain amount of degeneration in the spine as they age.

2. There is a loss of height of at least one of these vertebral bodies.

As we age our discs lose water- content and compress, this is what their referring to. Usually they'll say mild, moderate or severe in these reports. Since they didn’t note the severity, I doubt if it’s severe.

Adjacent endplate irregularities are another age related finding.

There’s nothing in this report that’s that awful bad, where is the location of your husband’s pain and what type of pain is he having?
