Thoracic facet joint disease

Like many of your posts I've read, I suffer from severe mid-back pain. Unfortunately, I also have RSD (since '99) and osteoporosis ('95) which only makes my situation more complicated I'm told.  I see a lot of comments about the culprit being sleep: the bed, mattress, lack of or too much of, and position of sleep.  I have sleep apnea as well as a few other problems not mentioned. I can't sleep flat down, and haven't been able to for quite some time. I sleep, for the most part, semi-upright with 3 pillows behind me, and I only manage to get about 2 hours worth each night. When I finally go to sleep, it's more like my head just falls down to my chest, and then somehow I'm startled awake. When I try to lay down, I can't sleep on my back, or stomach, only my left side mainly due to hypersensitivity (RSD) & pain issues, with a pillow between my knees so they don't touch.  I, therefore, can't "toss & turn" and stay in that position until I wake up.

What I don't see on here is anyone with a confirmed diagnosis for the most part. I was hoping to find someone with the same back problem as I have to perhaps understand it better and ask more specific questions.  Most postings are just generalized mid-back pain & stiffness symptoms which are attributed to mattresses, weak stomach muscles, etc. I do find the one comment in here most interesting about any correlation between people who have had stomach surgeries (multiple or not) and experience thoracic pain. I have had 4 c-sections, 1 partial hysto (thru same c-section incision); 1 remaining ovary removal (thru same c-section incision); 2 laproscopies, 2 hernia surgeries, and an appendectomy.  With that being said, until 3 months ago, I weighed a mere 95 pounds and had great stomach muscles, despite being wheelchair bound from my RSD.  Doctors are pleased that I now weigh 125 (though I'm not..hehe) at 5' 3", and about to be 50 y/o.

If anyone here has the same diagnosis, or can contribute in any way, please feel free to post.  Thank you and good luck in resolving your back pain.
