Thumb nerves
I severed a nerve in my thumb accidentally several years ago.  There is no feeling in the end of my thumb.  Can the nerve be reconnected or extended to bring back feeling in my thumb?

Hi there!

If the accident happened several years ago, it is unlikely for it to recover at this time, while our neuro-regenerative modalities are still in the developing stages, to provide an effective treatment as of today’s date; though if there is a constant morbidity associated, a few alternative modalities can be tried to restore function. I would suggest consulting a neurologist for the same.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
