Tightness in neck

Hello i am a 17 year old male and have recently been having a Tightness  around my neck ..it does not feel like it is choking me or anything it is just tightness around my neck to the point where i can feel my adam's apple sticking out alot and also i been having alot of sore throat dis month i've probably had about 4 sore throats this month( january 2008) but this tightness comes and goes and also theres alot of mucus in my throat i have to keep trying to clear my throat at times and now i feel little pains when i try to clear my throat ..any idea what could this be?

hello i am a 19 yr old female and i do have a protruding disc in my neck going into my back but the other morning i woke up with my neck being stiff kinda almost feels like sunburn if i try to move it. i too have that "delicous" mucus that is making me sick to my stomach. i usually take zyrtec for that. and my throat is sore both when i try to eat or drink or tender to the touch on the outside. i haven't taken my zyrtec for about a year now but i when i do take it every single morning whether i feel bad or not.. i don't have that nasty drip or the sore throat. just an idea :) hope you feel better soon.
