Undiagnosed back and flank pain

I have been having pain in my mid back that sometime radiates around to my right flank and where my liver is located.  I have had an US on my right kidney and gall bladder as well as a chest xray.  All tests, including serum, have been normal.  The pain has been going on since December.  It was much worse when it first began.  It feels like something is stabbing me.  I get some relief when I take my bra off.  It hurts most while getting out of bed or twisting the top of the my body.  I have no urinary symptoms. I have also been afebrile.

Has anyone recommended x-rays of your cervical and/or thoracic spine?  Degenerative changes can produce symptoms similar to yours and would not be visualized on chest x-ray or US.  Might be beneficial to get baseline x-rays to determine if spinal issues could be a contributing factor.
Pain that continues for over 3 months needs additional investigation.
