My dad had a spinal fusion of L3 and 4 approx 13 years ago. The pain has become excruciating. He has never been pain free but has been livingAdvanced care directives with the pain since then. We are working on finding a different doctor than the one from 13 years ago but have yet to do so. The problem is ... WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES FOR THE PAIN?? He is getting older and a complex surgery like another fusion is not in the equation. There has to be something that can be done. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
