What should I ask

What should I ask

Sustained injury Oct, 2007 performing straight arm Lat Pull Down.  Recent MRI shows anterior cord compression at T 5-6. slight increased cord signal.  Interosseous hemangioma at T-5.  Mild degeneration disc disease at T 5-6.  Possibly demyleinating in nature.  Will be going to Boston Neuromuscular Specialist.  Is this the right type of MD to see?  What questions should I be asking?  If he doesn't recommend more testing, should I request certain tests, and if so which ones?  Thank you for your time.

Hi.  Any neurologist can help you.  For the demylenation have them check your b12 & for some reason my drs always do a THS for thyroid.  And, if they suspect demylenation in your spine it's typical for them to do an MRI of the brain to check for MS.  But, b12 def can cause the same symptoms as MS.  You can have just one MS episode and your nerves repair themselves.  And, an Xray would help identify scoliosis of some kind. Functonal Scoliosis is very common.  That might be what's putting the pressure on your throacic spine to begin with hence the injury.  hope this helps.  kimpton.
