Thanks for the reply the back pain went away after 2 weeks but since then i have had really bad pain going down my leg from my hip to my ankle and its really pain full and hard to walk without moaning in pain ,sometimes it sounds like iam in labour, ive been to the hospital and they said it was muscle spasm and prescribed me dazepam ,iburofen and paracetamol, these lasted 2 hours then the pain came back so i went to the doctors he said it was siatica and proscribed me slow releasing tramadol , amitriptyline, and naproxen these was only lasting a hour and i could hardly walk,so i went back to the doctors he told me to up my tramadol to 2 twice a day and give me some more diazepam, none of these are working and the pain is still the same iam wondering if when i pulled my backafter moving them weights i have done something and there missing it ,what should i do, because iam in agony i can hardly walk when the pain is bad and i have to go up stairs on all fours ,also i cant go to the toilet even when i have a wee it takes a while Thank you Ann

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hey Ann!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include postural issues, joint inflammation/ degeneration, neuro-muscular causes such as muscle sprain, nerve impingement, injuries to muscles/ ligaments, referred pain from other regions such as from causes related to the GI or genitor-urinary tract etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
