back pain

I started getting paid in the middle of my back a couple of days ago.  Sometimes when I breath it hurts.  Also having trouble getting up and down after sitting or laying down.  Bending over also causes some pain.  Today the pain seems to have moved from the middle of back to mid right side of back.  
Can you tell me what this could be?  Is it urgent that I see a doctor or should I make an appointment for a general check-up?

I am experiencing severe lower back pain only after I sleep or lay on my stomach for any length of time.  It doesnt matter if it is for a few minutes or the entire night. Low and behold if I sleep on my stomach the entire night.  I literally cry from the pain.  Can someone please give me some insight on this.

i have the same problem,not only lying down,if i ride for longer than 30 minutes, i get out of the car,humped over. after i walk a few steps,i can straighten up. i find that if i sit in a chair, and spread my legs and bend over and touch the floor, it stretches it out. hope this helps.
