back pain

I am a 20 year old male. I have wrestled since i was in kindergraden. I'm not for sure when i really hut my back but i noticed it about 8 years ago. Just now they found out that my L5 disk prostitution also i have a pitched sciatic nerve. I'v been on vicodin since i was a Junior in high shchool so i could get through wrestling seasons. Iv been on every type of pain killer made. Iv seen a pain mangment doctor, been in physical therapy. I have done everything. I'm also have clinical depression and bipolar. I have the pain go down my right leg. The Pain Doctor wont give me anything that really takes the pain away. I have been off pain pills for awile. It seems like im at the ER ever month. I have injections done and the last one made in so much pain i had to rush to the ER. I have even cut myself before to try to get reed of the pain. I just dont know what to do. any suggestions

Dude,
You need to get to a Surgeon and tell him your story.  I have what sounds similar to your situation and I can tell you that the pain is unbearable and the meds are a nessecesity but you can't live like this.  you have to get into see a surgeon and tell him that you want to do some sort of surgery to the herniated area.  I had a very simple proceedure done a couple af years ago that worked out very well for me, - (Up till now)  but I was in excrutiating pain a few years ago and the pain was going down my right leg and I could not walk and all that.. But the doc went in and he shaved away part of my herniation and I was absolutly pain free.  (Til-Now)  Any way  You realy need to consider surgery.
