back pain...husband

husband has three herniated disks, two forms of arthritis and a birth defecr in his back. is on suboxone now for pain. he is an ironworker so that is very hard on him. will the suboxone help that kind of pain? could he take ibuprofen with the suboxone???????????? his pain is chronic.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I know they we're using it in Europe for pain management, actual their using Subutex which doesn't have the naloxone. But I didn't know they were using it here, it usually used to treat opioid dependency.

I guess some people have had success with it helping their pain. Pain Management is often trial and error, if it doesn't help after awhile, his Doctor's going to have to try something else.

no, that;s just what this "pain specialist" put him on because the embedda was making him sick. and taking just advil does not help. his job involves so much heavy lifting and stuff. he is miserable.

Why is he taking subs, does he have dependency issues? Advil is okay, but no opiates of any kind, it can be very dangerous. And answer my 1st question.
