buldging disk

I am a 24 female who was in an car accident 3 months ago. I was hit by an ambulance on my driver's side, which resolted in a fractored tailbone, two bulging disks.  I also have sharp pain in my left shoulder and a burning and radiating pain throughout the lower back.  My Dr. And I have tried ant-inflamitory,which relieves the throbbing.  She's put me on a handful of other pills.  As in her words doesn't believe in pain relievers, I have recieved a low dosage hydrocodone. Which relieves much of the pain.  I tried p.t for a month and a half which seemed to make it worse.  She wants to do injections but I feel that its too soon and I am too young.  To make matters worse the job I have worked for ( which I've been there for 4 years) is considering firing me because I have to be able to lift 45 lbs. At all times .  The insurace company that works for my job is denying me short term disablity because I can walk and use my arms I should work.  My doctor tells me no lifting, yet a clinical nurse for the insurance company says there's nothing holding me back from working. I am just unsure of what my next step should be other then a new Dr.  If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.
