Amen to that, I've got two bulging discs in the cervical spine, with the narrowing disc space causing  rather forceful pressure on the nerve and can truthfully say it f%$#&ing well hurts

Is surgery not an option? I had 3 "bulging" (herniated) discs. Went through all the tx including countless epidurals. Nothing helped. All that pain for the last 3 years. Finally had surgery 3 weeks ago and I feel better than before it was done. I still have surgical pain, but all the lower back/leg pain is gone. From my own experience I would encourage anyone to have it repaired if possible.

Hi All,
So in your opinions, small disc protrusions can cause pain? I have been having right sided lower back pain for 6 months. I had an MRI in Oct. which showed a very small right lateral protrusion of the L4-5 intervertebral disc resulting in minor right L4-5 neural foraminal narrowing. Do you all think that this is the cause of my pain. The pain the I experience does not radiate to the leg, but does occationally cause right sided groin pain. The pain does not seem to be increased with activity. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.
