calcium deposit in neck and head

by freesample1, Nov 07, 2009 01:28AM
I have had two MRI done at different hospital for different reasons, however each time the person doing it showed me the picture of what looked well like a tree with long branches starting in my neck and going up into my head.  One person said that they never saw anything like that, and the other person said it looks like calcium and that it could cause me trouble down the road but didn't say what kind of trouble or if it would be life threating.  The second one was because of a car accident , I was hit from behind and did have a milded case of whip lash.  Years later now my neck is always sore and sometimes I can't move my head from side to side with out pain or hearing some sort of cracking noise in my upper neck.  I would like to know what your thoughts are on this.  I am 56 years old.
