my grandfather is suffering from canal stenosis. he even cant move his legs. he cant even sit properly. doctor has prescribed some medicines and has asked for operation. is it safe for my grand father to go through an operation. as he is an pld man. please suggest something
It would be difficult to comment on the situation without a detailed clinical evaluation. Old age per say is not a contraindication to any surgery in the absence of other comorbidities. It would be best to have him evaluated by his treating neurosurgeon and an anesthetist regarding the safety/ risks associated with a surgery.
