cervical stenosis

I have a few problems that have been plaguing me for a few years. I finally went to a neurologist after my hands were numb when I woke up. I wanted to get tested for MS because my brother has it and my symptoms fit. They did an EMG and it showed problems typical of carpal tunnel. The results of the MRI W/O contrast didn't show any lesions but showed spinal stenosis and joined disks at C3,C4     I don't have any pain but have spuratic numbness in my left leg and feel like it's weak, even though I can squat on either leg. I am suffering from severe anxiety and panic attacks, but feel that anxiety is not a diagnosis.
Can spinal stenosis in the cervical spine cause leg numbness and pain, without causing neck pain.
Should I pursue testing for MS? I don't want to go years without treatment when the earlier treatment is started the better off you are.

Hi...u should always rule things out when u have a family history.....

And u asked about stinosis causing numbness and pain with out neck pain...I have it and I can say yes , I have experienced numbness and pain in my leg but not pain in my neck as a result....I would deff get copies of all tests including MRI's so u can get a 2nd opinion......I would also ask for the reports from ur tests and MRI's.

I was told I had tarsal tunnel and most likely carpal tunnel....and with further testing it was ruled out .......
